[dropcap]American[/dropcap] dark electronic group Bestial Mouths, whose newest album Heartless was released by Cleopatra Records earlier this year, has teamed up with British industrial thrash duo Randolph & Mortimer for a powerful remix of Bestial’s cover of the synth pop classic Being Boiled originally recorded by The Human League. The cover version initially appeared on Heartless but here receives a complete sonic makeover courtesy of the up-and-coming Randolph & Mortimer (named after the wager-loving characters from the Eddie Murphy/Dan Aykroyd film Trading Places).
The result is an intense, throbbing piece of industrial dancefloor mania. Lynette Cerezo, the bewitching vocalist who has been leading Bestial Mouths since its inception, recently relocated from Los Angeles to Berlin and thus this remix may be the first of many more future collaborations with her European contemporaries.
