Our site uses Google Analytics and Google Ad Sense to track users by age, gender, location, and platform demographics to serve advertisements to users. These advertisements are used to fund the operations of Post-Punk.com, and without them, running this site would not be possible.

Contact forms

If you use our contact form, you will need to opt in to being added to our mailing list. You can request removal from this mailing list at any time. However, your entry via our contact form will be retained indefinitely.

We do not share your data with any 3rd parties, you can however log into our site user data you opt in to use from Twitter, Facebook, Google, etc, but in that case we retain no data other than that which is featured in your user profile on this site.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely, as per Facebook’s policies, as this is the comments system we currently use.

For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site,  you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

We store no sensitive data on this site, and utilize managed hosting with our hosting provider to prevent data breaches from occurring.
